The Latin Comedy Jam Tour Show is returning to Las Cruces, October 11th at 8 p.m. at the Las Cruces Convention Center.
The show has a Las Vegas style atmosphere that brings together some of the best, talented Latino comics to one stage. The stand-up comedy is second to none, with plenty of laughter and hilarious entertainment. The comedians’ humor is contagious and has universal appeal that everyone can enjoy.
Millions have been entertained by this show with appearances throughout the United States and all over the world.
The tour has a mix of comedians that rotate from city to city, appearing at the Las Cruces show is Dillon Garcia, Shayla Rivera, Roberto Rodriguez, and Las Cruces comedian, Joe Rodriguez.
Dillon Garcia is the youngest comic ever to be featured on Comedy Central and was featured on both seasons of “Stand Up Revolution” hosted by Gabriel Iglesias. His professional comedy career began at the age 16 and he has evolved into one of the most popular acts in the nation. He has open for many renowned comics including, but not limited to, Nick Swardson, Dave Chappelle and Gabriel Iglesias (his comedic idol). He has also performed throughout the country and has been credited by American Latino Television, Google TV and MTV.
Shayla Rivera recently earned the title of "Funniest Latina Comedian" by the prestigious organization "Latin 2015”. Before becoming a professional comic, she was an engineer working on the space shuttle and space station programs. She honed her comedian skills at the Comedy Showcase in Houston and then found her way into the television scene. She has appeared on several shows including, "Girls Behaving Badly," "Ultimate Revenge" and "Funny is Funny." She was a guest on "The Roseanne Show" and "The Martin Short Show." She has also headlined on entertainment programs for Univision, Galavision, and on "The Latino Comedy Jam" for Telemundo.
Roberto Rodriguez is an upcoming comic who has performed in numerous shows including Latin Comedy Explosion and the Latin Princess’ of Comedy. In 2007, he was chosen for the Latino Laugh Festival which boosted his career and made him a prime attraction. He has performed at the Laugh Factory, and is a regular at the Hollywood Improv and Richard Villa’s Refried Fridays. He frequently opens at the Ice House and spends several weeks a year touring the country.
The Latin Comedy Jam began in 2001 and has delivered some of the best comedy routines over the years. It also has boosted the careers of various Latino comedians including comics Gabriel Iglesias and George Lopez, who began their careers on the tour, reached the national spotlight and went on to have successful careers.
