Take them to the Annual Santa at the Las Cruces Railroad Depot!
Date: December 2nd
Time: 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Each year, Santa makes his way from the North Pole to Las Cruces on his magic sleigh and then catchings a ride on a BNSF locomotive for the last leg to the depot where he meets with children and passes out candy canes.
After a visit with Santa, enjoy hot cocoa, sweets and lots of arts and crafts and family entertainment inside and outside the depot.
And be sure to make your way back downtown the next night, December 3rd, for the lighting of the Las Cruces Christmas tree on the new plaza. There will be live holiday music on the plaza stage, family entertainment and activities for the kids sponsored by City of Las Cruces departments, carolers on every corner, and food trucks and refreshments.
*The evening will be capped off with the first ever tree lighting on the [NEW] plaza!

Located in an historic Santa Fe Railroad depot, the Las Cruces Railroad Museum interprets the railroad history of Las Cruces and the impact of the railroad on Southern New Mexico.
