It’s time for the City’s free annual 4th of July Celebration and this year, it’s electric! A two-day celebration full of free family fun from 5K’s and fun runs, rocking music, to an electrifying light parade and breathtaking fireworks over the city. Don’t miss a minute of this rockin’ party brought to you by The City of Las Cruces and NMSU. There’s plenty of parking and lots of room at the Pat and Lou Sisbarro Community Park on the NMSU campus. 4th of July Electric 4K and 1 Mile Fun Run - Wednesday, July 3

[minti_spacer height="25"]Get your holiday off on the right foot with the Electric 5K and the One-Mile Fun Run.

This tradition is one of the great events of summer. Lace up and join in the excitement of this 3.1-mile race along the parade route of the Electric Light Parade. Casual and serious runners are welcome to run this twilight evening running race along a closed road secure course. The One Mile Fun Run follows at 7:40 with the parade directly after.

Paid participants get a T-Shirt.

Date: July 3 - Registration at 7 pm, Starts at 7:45 pm

Location: Start and Finish at Meerscheidt Center

4th of July Electric Light Parade - Wednesday, July 3

[minti_spacer height="25"]America Rocks! And so does the Electric Light Parade.

Be there to watch this beautiful night spectacle. Watch as your friends, neighbors and local business community pass by in beautifully decorated lighted floats under the evening stars. Both car and motorcycle groups will participate as well. Pick your own favorite as the judges award trophies for the best overall float based on originality, a depiction of a theme (America Rocks!) and effective use of lights.

Families and groups are invited to decorate for the parade and the twilight running race.

When: July 3, Parade starts at 9 pm

Where: Begins at Apodaca Park, 801 E. Madrid Avenue and travels south on Solano Drive, east on Hadley Ave and ends at Maag Softball Complex

2019 Fourth of July Celebration Concert & Fireworks - Thursday, July 4

[minti_spacer height="25"]Grab the family and come on out to join our community for a July 4th spectacular! A free evening of thrills and chills. The festivities kick off at 6 pm with a rocking concert. Jim Shimabukuro, ukulele virtuoso opens the show with a very special performance. He gained world attention with his take on George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” and he has topped the Billboard World Music Charts. Night Ranger headlines the free concert. They’ve earned widespread acclaim with multi-platinum albums sold worldwide and over 3,500 live performances. You may hear some of your favorites like “Sister Christian” and “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me.” There will be food vendors on site.

The Annual Fireworks Display follows the concert at 9:45. Get ready to be wowed as we celebrate our independence and welcome summer with a bang. Don’t miss this stunning tradition.

4th of July Annual Country Picnic - Thursday, July 4

[minti_spacer height="25"]Picnics, games and family time. Now that’s the 4th of July.

Head on out to La Vina Winery for a fabulous family day before the evenings' concert and fireworks. Pack up your own picnic or grab a burger or dog from K&B Barbeque. They’ll be refreshments including wine, wine margaritas, soft drinks, and water. Enjoy musical entertainment, croquet, badminton, and cool off on the water slide. Tents, tables, and chairs will be provided. All you need to do is show up and have fun. No coolers or pets, please.

4th of July Music & Fireworks in Mesilla - Thursday, July 4

[minti_spacer height="25"]The Town of Mesilla presents a Fourth of July Celebration with live music on the Plaza. XKE hits the Plaza from 7-9pm. The fireworks display begins at 9 pm on the corner of Avenida de Mesilla and Calle de Mercado. Admission is Free

Las Cruces Tequila, Taco & Cerveza Festival 2019 - July 20

[minti_spacer height="25"]Taco-Topia takes over the Plaza!

The spectacular 5th Annual Tequila, Taco & Cerveza Summer Festival is coming to town. This year promises to be better than ever as they join forces with Salsa Fest!

Over 40 Tequilas to sample, live lucha wrestling, local taco trucks, Mariachi music, DJ’s, lawn games, and salsa sampling. Sounds like non-stop fun to us.  The festivities start at 5 pm and run up to 11 pm.

When: July 20, 5pm-11pm

Location: Downtown Las Cruces Plaza

Admission: General (21+) $21 - Includes 10 Tequila samples, a branded sampling cup, all access entry and unlimited photos. VIP Amigo (21+) $41 in advance. Includes all of the above plus one taco plate and one customized merchandise item. $51 at the gates.
