The NMSU Dance Program, the Department of Kinesiology and Dance (KIND) and the College of Education will present “Rhythm Nights – Emoji,” a dance extravaganza performed by the NMSU DanceSport Company and Club.  

The event will take place at the Grapevine Plaza (home of the Picacho Peak Brewery) located at 3600 Picacho Ave (behind the Quik Pik) and begins at 7:30pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:30pm on Sunday.

Under the direction of Hannah Cole, this performance production of features dance choreography by both faculty and students and intends to take viewers on an emotional journey through Ballroom, Latin and Swing dance.  As a means to promote partner dance as a healthy lifestyle alternative in the community, each performance will also feature live or deejayed music with the opportunity for everyone to boogie down before and after the show.  Friday night features the Derrick Harris band, Saturday, Latin music DJ Vic and Sunday, the Steppin’ Up band.  

Doors open early for VIP ticket holders and includes light appetizers, musical entertainment, a meet and greet with the dancers, door prizes and preferred table seats.   

Advance tickets are $10 general admission and $20 VIP table and are available for purchase from any DanceSport member, at the KIND office located in the Activity Center, Room 204 or by calling 575-646-4067.
