Get spooked at this Haunted Insane Asylum jail tour. Trek through dark corridors, watch out for habitants, and keep your ears open for chilling screams.
2. Get your Pumpkin Fill 
Embrace a season favorite and head to a local pumpkin patch to pick out your own to take home. Visit Mesilla Valley Maze and check out their pumpkin junction to pick from your classic orange look to more specialty and other unique-looking squash. Take a har-ride, get lost in the corn maze, race down slides, enjoy plenty of activities and chow down on food.
For another pumpkin patch, head out to La Union Maze for a wagon ride out to their pumpkin patch where you can find over 30 varieties to pick from. Hop on a jumping pillow, follow the canna fairytale trail, race ducks and watch pig races! Get your fill of activities, food, and fun for everyone.
If it's pumpkin spice you're looking for, head over to The Bean and try their pumpkin spice latte, or venture into some of their other seasonal flavors like their autumn latte. See the Las Cruces Zombie Walk and visit the undead at this scary-fun event on Main St. Watch as downtown Las Cruces is taken over by spine-chilling zombies, and join in on the costume fun. 5. Celebrate Día de los Muertos
Head over to old and historic Mesilla, NM to celebrate this Mexican holiday. While typically observed annually from Oct. 31 to Nov. 2, the holiday can vary depending on the region. At the heart of this celebration the living welcomes the souls of the departed to back into this world for a few days. This year's celebration will take place from Nov.1-2 in the Mesilla Plaza. Here visitors can find beautiful intricate altars, elaborate performances, and flavorful food.
