After purchasing the building from her uncle, Katy Griggs Camuñez opened her "little chile joint” on September 16, 1939. The New Mexican dishes created from recipes handed down from her family along with Katy’s welcoming demeanor quickly made Las Posta a favorite dining spot for locals and visitors alike.

Today La Posta is owned an operated by Katy’s great niece, Jearean Hutchinson, and her husband Tom. Relying on the same, time-tested recipes and exceptional customer service, the couple has received numerous awards and accolades over the years.

Guests can take advantage of the celebrations and enjoy lunch, dinner and drink specials throughout the month of September, with monthly specials through the end of the year.
